There are some really great areas to shop while visiting Phoenix and its suburbs. The city itself is now about a hundred miles in radius and each city within the city has some great places to shop. Phoenix itself has The Biltmore Fashion Park which is on 24th Street and Camelback Road. Here you will find some upscale shops including Macy’s and Saks Fifth Avenue. One of my favorite stores the Pottery Barn is also there along with some great specialty shops and jewelry stores. If you want to grab some lunch or dinner than the Biltmore Fashion Park is also a great place to find different kinds of foods.  

If you are interested in some of the world famous shopping in the near by Scottsdale area of the city check out a couple of places. There is the old town Scottsdale mall called Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall . This is a great mall that has something for everyone. It is filled with levels and acres of great stores and restaurants. The ceiling in most of the mall is one big sky light so it has such a nice open outdoor feel but it is nice and cool inside. Perfect day to spend in the hot summers of Phoenix. For another nice afternoon treat, visitors can check out a movie in the Harkins Theatures.  

In the North Scottsdale area there is the Kierland Common Mall. IF you decide to stay near the five star hotel phoenix has down town you may want to check out the Arizona Center which has more restaurants than shops but it is a nice walk. Then there is the college town of Tempe which has Mill Avenue and the new Tempe Marketplace. The Tempe Marketplace has some great entertainment going on in the evenings as well. You can hang out at a cool Mexican cantina and watch a concert in the courtyard. Fun times.

There are two types of property managers: the big corporations and the small groups, sometimes consisting of just one or two people, sometimes a few more. If you are a property manager, here are a few things you should know.

1. Many landlords will briefly go over one or two rental agreements to see which one they want to ask people to sign, and they will never really go in depth to see exactly what all is detailed in the agreement. Sometimes there are things in these agreements that will keep your future tenants from renting from you. Make sure you review carefully each rental agreement and that it is relevant to you and the tenant.

2. That leads into the next one. Be willing to edit the lease as necessary. You may find that for a certain tenant you are more willing to hire and take care of certain things, but you will need a small rise in rent or something similar.

3. Decide who does the property maintenance. If there is a pool you need to have set out in the lease who pays for pool maintenance, who pays for yard maintenance. If they think you are going to do it and you think they are going to do it, it may make the space unlivable for them, and unlivable for your next tenants as well.

4. Get an attorney. Not only will you want him to look over your lease agreement before both parties sign it, but you will also want to make sure you have plans in action in case you end up with a bad tenant. A bad tenant can rob you of money and time and keep you from getting your property rented out again when they are gone. 5. It is ok to evict tenants who will not comply with the terms of living in your property. If they are a fire hazard, or simply aren’t paying their rent, this can be enough reason to terminate the lease. If you don’t, you may end up paying a lot of money, or not being able to rent the property again for a long time. If they can’t pay the rent for several months, that is time that you also can not get a tenant in there who can pay the rent.

With the economy in flux, so are many companies. As companies grow and shrink there are a lot of companies changing location, either to better fit the growing needs, or so that they may be able to save a little more money. This sort of move is a lot like a personal move , but it usually requires a lot more communication and work. One of the first things to remember to do is to create a list. This will help get things organized and keep everyone on task.

The hardest thing about moving is finding the right space to move into. With a home there are many of them available, but with a business, store fronts tend to be designed for one specific purpose and it can be hard to move a restaurant into a space designed for a clothing store, or an office building into an area designed for a hair salon. The best way to ensure that the right type of space is found is to get a larger property management company to be your representative and have them find one of their properties that will fit your needs. You can even grab a few of these companies and have them compete to see what the best price there is between them. Don’t forget to have them send you pictures or let you in to see it before deciding on a place, just like if you were moving into a new house. As you move make sure that there is good communication going on between the management, the employees and even make sure to tell suppliers about the move. Customers should be informed as soon as possible, to ensure that money is sent to the right place and so that the next time they come in no one is surprised by the move and you lose business. This can be a critical time for a company, and can either come out as being a really good thing, or a really bad thing. If you keep it organized moving can be done without a lot of hassle.
